Trade agreement has been accomplished between EU and China after seven years of negotiations. This trade agreement will provide opportunity to European companies and businesses firms more access to Chinese markets.
Negotiations on Trade agreement began in 2014 and finalized in an online meeting between Chinese President Xi Jing Ping and EU Vice President Angela Merkel, the head of the European Council, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Chinese President Xi Jinping called this trade agreement a sign of China’s importance in opening up its market to the world.
The agreement would allow European companies to invest in electric cars, private hospitals, real estate and advertising, and would not require them to enter into joint ventures or transfer technology from Chinese companies. While China will not give unnecessary subsidies to its own industries in comparison to foreign companies, Trade agreement will be implemented from next year.
