NEWYORK: A well-known social figure of the Kashmiri community in New York Salim Dutt’s son Asif Dutt passed away in the state of Missouri. He was 49.
Asif Dutt’s body was shifted from Missouri to New York. The funeral prayers of the Asif Dutt were offered at the Mecca Masjid in Coney Island Avenue.
Al Rayyan Muslim Funeral Services made arrangements for Asif Dutt’s burial.
A large number of the community, including the family, relatives, friends and loved ones of the deceased, attended the funeral prayers.
Addressing the participants of the funeral, leader of the Kashmiri community Khalid Ansari said that a person should remember death at every moment and it is necessary to prepare for the hereafter more than worrying about this world.
The community expressed its condolences to Salim Dutt and brother in law of Asif Dutt, Ishtiaq Ahmed and also expressed sorrow over the sad demise. Special prayers were offered for Asif Dutt. After the funeral prayers, the body of the deceased was shifted to New Jersey, where he was buried at the graveyard.
