ILLINOIS: Pakistani American community in Maine township Cook county, Illinois celebrated Independence Day cultural festival with enthusiasm.
In Main Township, the Pakistani American community celebrated their annual Independence Day cultural festival with enthusiasm. The event was organized by Asif Malik, Rana Javed Khan and Care and Cure.
The Pakistan Cultural Festival event was held in Maine Township Cook county Illinois.
Rana Javed Khan moderated the event. Syed Abdanullah recited the Holy Quran.
Various elected officials and local leaders joined to rejoice during a magnificent anthem ceremony.
Consul General of Pakistan Tariq Karim, attended as the main guest.
America’s and Pakistan’s national anthems sang at the start of the proceedings. Deputy Consul General of Pakistan Saeed Ali was also present at the event.
The Des Plaines Mayor Andrew Goczkowski and Park Ridge Mayor Marty Maloney, many members of the Maine Townships including Peter Gialamas, Susan Moylan Krey, Kelly Horvath, James Maher, Asif Malik, and Supervisor Kimberly Jones attended the event.
A number of state elected officials, including state Senator Laura Fine and State senator Laura Murphy, Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison and many others participated the event.
The Chair of the event was Pakistani American Businessman Naveed Anwar who could not attend the event but he sent his best wishes for the Independence Day event.
Maine township Trustee and organizer of the event Asif Malik said that today is a wonderful day to celebrate Pakistan Independence. He said that freedom is gifted from God to humans.and we ought to acknowledge the value of freedom.
Several elected officials also spoke on the occasion including state Senator Laura Fine.
The keynote speaker was Consul General of Pakistan Tariq Karim
In his address, the Consul General conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistani-American community on the 78th Anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence.
He emphasized the historical importance of this day and praised the community’s impact on the cultural and social landscape of the United States.
He also celebrated the community’s achievement following Pakistan’s success in Marka-e-Haq.
The Consul General urged community members to reaffirm their dedication to Pakistan and to remain actively involved in strengthening the lasting partnership between Pakistan and the U.S
Live performances of Asif Ali Khan , as well as a few young people who joined in with Pakistani flag and ethnic dance motions, sent the crowd into a frenzy and helped the day’s festivities come to a joyful conclusion.
Youth of Chicagoland continues the event with delightful music, dances, and exciting performances.
