NEWYORK: A mother of a young daughter set a unique example as she also completed her graduation along with her daughter in New York’s university.
Usually it is noticed scenes of parents being present at convocations of universities around the world when their children receive degrees. But at a university in New York, a mother also completed her graduation along with her daughter, setting a unique example.
They say there is no age limit for education. And if the passion is true, a person can overcome the age barrier and achieve his goal.
Ambreen Sajid, a Pakistani-origin woman living in Long Island, New York, is among those successful people who did not let her age become an obstacle in the way of education and completed her graduation along with her daughter.
Ambreen Sajid, the wife of Sajid Chaudhry, a Pakistani national living in Long Island, is a housewife. After a gap of 8 years, she enrolled in Stony Brook University with her daughter Noel Chaudhry and set an example for everyone by obtaining a graduation degree in the Department of Health Sciences.
Ambreen Sajid’s educational journey is not over yet. She plans to study further for the next four years and become a physician associate.
Ambreen Sajid not only took care of household responsibilities during this time but also guided her daughter in her studies. Perhaps that is why she scored more marks than her daughter Noel Chaudhry.
It is not easy to describe in words the joy that Sajid Chaudhry felt when his wife and daughter completed their graduation together. Only a husband and father can feel this feeling.
This success story has made the entire Pakistani community proud. Sajid Chaudhry’s family friend and Pakistani American Community of Long Island PACOLI’s General Secretary Asim Malik says that Ambreen Sajid is a role model for every woman who thinks that education cannot be continued after marriage.
