NEWYORK: Pakistan People Party USA, New York and Philadelphia organized an event at local hotel in Brooklyn to commemorate the Kashmir Black Day to express support of Kashmiri people in their just struggle against the continued Indian illegal occupation of Jammu & Kashmir and remember martyrs of October 18 Karsaz tragedy.
PPP leaders Nadeem Asghar Kaira and Javed Chaudhry were the special guests of the event.
PPP USA, New York and Philadelphia organized and event to commemorate the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy and to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in Indian-administered occupied Jammu and Kashmir. .
Addressing participants, PPP USA President Khalid Awan said that the PPP has always been struggling for democracy and human rights and the sacrifices of the martyrs of Karsaz will never go in vain. He said that great people are not born every day and people have to wait for great people for a long time.
PPP New York President Zafar Chatha thanked all the participants, including senior leaders of PPP Nadeem Asghar Kaira and Javed Chaudhry, as special guests.
Addressing the participants, PPP Philadelphia President Mohammad Ali Baloch said that we pledge that we will remember every single drop of blood of each and every martyr of Pakistan People Party of Karsaz tragedy and will never back down like their leaders for the development of the Pakistan.
Nadeem Asghar Kaira and Javed Choudhary said that Karsaz tragedy is a darkest chapter in the history of Pakistani politics in which the terrorist attacked on Benazir Bhutto’s rally on her home return resulting hundreds of party workers sacrificed their lives.
Nadeem Asghar Kaira said that the purpose of martyring Benazir Bhutto was to divide Pakistan, but President Asif Ali Zardari strengthened the existence of Pakistan by raising the slogan of Pakistan Khape.
Other speakers also expressed their views regarding Kashmir and the Karsaz tragedy.
They appreciated the struggle of PPP and said that the party has always raised its voice for justice and will continue to do so in the future.
Talking about the Kashmir Black Day, the participants expressed deep concern over the ongoing human rights violations in Indian-administered occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
At the end of the event, prayers were offered for the martyrs of Karsaz and the Kashmiri people and all the participants expressed their determination to continue their struggle on these two important issues.
PPP USA vowed that the party will always continue the mission of raising its voice for the sacrifices of its martyrs and the oppressed Kashmiri people.
