NEWYORK: The American Council of Minority Women organized its fifth annual Day of Dignity at Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn. Warm clothes and fresh food were distributed to hundreds of low income household.
The families of low income attended the Day of Dignity event organized by the ACMW.
Dr. Iffat also set up free medical camp where participants got conducted their blood and other tests. Doctors gave beneficial medical advises to the participants of the event.
Consul General of Pakistan in New York Aamir Ahmed Atuzai and New York City council member Rita Joseph appreciated the efforts of ACMW for serving the underprivileged and assured them of all possible support.
Chairperson of the American Council of Minority Women Baaza Ruhi said that purchasing of new blankets and warm clothes was becoming out of the reach for the low income families due to limited income and inflation in the New York.

She said that ACMW made arrangements of warm cloths and blankets for low income households without any discrimination with the assistance of sponsors.
On this occasion, District Director Anita from the office of Congresswoman Yvette Clark while the staff of District Attorney Eric Gonzalez also set up their stalls and guided the participants. They said that community services are very important for the improvement of society.
The representatives of Health First and United Health, the sponsors of the Day of Dignity, assured their full cooperation in the future as well.
The volunteers of ACMW actively participated in the preparation and distribution of this social activity. The organization distributed certificates of appreciation to its volunteers to encourage and appreciate them.
