HOUSTON: A non-profit government organization MOAWIN foundation organized annual gala dinner for raising funds with regard to its ongoing school education projects to improve education quality in Pakistan.
The event was attended by large number of Pakistani community who generously donated in the fund raising campaign. Pakistani TV artist Sanam Jang moderated the event.
MOAWIN Foundation is a non-governmental organization working to improve quality of education in public schools in Pakistan and equip students with modern skills along with education.
Well known Pakistani American media person and columnist Wajahat Ali was the chief guest of the event. Addressing participants, Wajahat said that MOAWIN foundation was performing an admirable work to equip the new generation of Pakistan with modern education and training.
The art works of famous painters Sadequain and Jimmy engineer were also exhibited in the event.
The founder of the foundation and former Naval chief Asif Sandila said that the foundation had started working from two schools and the number of schools has reached to 286 schools in ten years.
TV artist Sanam Jung said that she is proud to be a part of efforts to promote quality education in Pakistan.
MOAWIN foundation America President Mohammad Hussain said that MOAWIN foundation was doing commendable work for promoting quality education in Pakistan.
Overseas Pakistanis have always actively participated in education, health, industry and other sectors and they were continuously playing their role in reducing the financial problems of the country.
