NEWYORK: Leaders of the Republican party in Nassau County have assured that the South Asian community will be given representation in more important positions after winning the next election.
They were addressing an event South Asian Night which was organized by deputy bureau chief of Nassau County attorney’s office Shaharyar Ali.
A large number of business leaders and South Asian community members participated in the event.
The chief guest of the event was Chairman Republican Party Nassau County Joe Cairo.
Addressing participants, Cario said the South Asian community is very important to the Republican Party of Nassau County that’s why he assigned important positions to South Asian community in the party, county and town.
Nassau County Executive’s advisor Chaudhry Akram, office of Asian American Affairs’ executive director Aun Naqvi, Chairman SAASBA Mohsin Shah and leading community leaders, including business and social figures participated in the event.
Deputy bureau chief of Nassau County Shahryar Ali moderated the event. He expressed hope that the problems of the South Asian community would be resolved soon.
Representative Anthony P D’ Esposito, Supervisor Oyster Bay Town Joesph Saladino and Kate Murray of the Hempstead Town also spoke.
The speakers said that the South Asian community will be given more representation in government and administrative affairs after winning the next election and their problems will be resolved on priority basis.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Republican Party Joe Cairo, thanked the South Asian community and presented the priorities set by his party before them. He also suggested solutions for the problems being faced not only by the South Asian community but also entire American community.
The speakers also appreciated the support and services of the South Asian community.
