NEWYORK: The Kashmiri community in Brooklyn strongly condemned the clashes between the police and protesters during the protest against inflation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The protest against expensive electricity and flour in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has intensified and the state-wide wheel jam strike entered into second day.

The Kashmiri community living in Brooklyn, New York has expressed concern over the clashes between the police and protesters during the public protest in Azad Kashmir and said that the administration has failed to control inflation. They demanded immediate resignation of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Anwarul Haq.

The Kashmiri leaders and representatives of the community said that whatever was being done to the protestors should be stopped immediately.

The leaders of the Kashmiri community said that we should record a peaceful protest to fulfill our demands because the demands could only be accepted through an organized protests in a peaceful manner.

They demanded that the loss of damage should be paid by the administration from his own pocket instead of government treasury.

The Kashmiri leaders said that people protest could not be stopped by state machinery. They demanded that all illegal taxes should be recalled and subsidies on essential goods be restored.
