NEWYORK: Students in many US universities took to the streets against the ongoing war in Gaza and the protestors demanded the United States to immediately stop supplying weapons to Israel.
Protest demonstration have been continuously held all over the world against the Israel’s aggression in Gaza. The educational institutions were echoed with slogans of Palestine freedom.
The protest demonstrations in the educational institutions of the US intensified further after the biased statement by the president of Columbia University and students of various educational institutions are also protesting against his statement.
All representative organizations of Muslims in New York have also supported the student movement for Gaza and assured their cooperation.
At a press conference in New York, the leaders of the Muslim community and student organizations said that they will not remain as silent spectator against the Israeli aggression on people of Gaza. They said that more than 200 days have passed since the war in Gaza, but the international community has kept a criminal silence over the genocide of innocent Palestinians.
The protestors strongly demanded that the United States abandon its partiality on the issue of Israel and Palestine, ensure enforcement of the human rights and immediately stop the supply of arms to Israel.
