Baltimore Tigers won Imran Subhani Trophy 2022

Winning Captain Shakeel Ahmed received the championship trophy and $2000 rewarded Prize Money.

Baltimore Tigers claimed Imran Subhani Trophy 2022 by defeating New Jersey Pak Kashmir in the final. Imran Subhani Trophy 2022 was organized jointly by the New Jersey Cricket Council and USA Cricket Premier League.

The annual cricket championship was held in New Jersey under the supervision of the International Cricket Council Qualified Coach and Certified Empire Mudassar Safdar, a qualified coach and certified umpire of the International Cricket Council. The tournament was held as part of the U.S Memorial Day celebrations.

The tournament was held in memory of the late Imran Subhani, a former New Jersey cricketer and former captain of the Team Rebels. The national anthem of the United States was also recited before the start of the match.

 

Chief Mudassar Safdar, Chief Organizer of New Jersey Cricket Council and USACPL, while addressing the participants, paid rich tributes to his former teammate Imran Sobhani and thanked, and appreciated all the participating teams in the tournament for playing good and quality cricket.

The 18 best teams from several US states were selected for the championship. Tough competitions were held in the first round between the teams participating in the tournament – after which the four best teams qualified for the semi-finals.

The final match was played between the two best teams in the region – New Jersey Pak Kashmir and Baltimore Tigers at the beautiful Capelli Sports Complex in New Jersey.

Batting first, the Tigers scored 88 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated overs, while chasing, the New Jersey Pak-Kashmir team managed to score only 58 runs. New Jersey Cricket Council was declared the champion of the Tournament.

Baltimore captain Shakeel Ahmed received the championship trophy and $2000 cash from the special guest. Usman Shahid was declared the man of the match in the final, who received $150 cash and individual prizes.

The New Jersey Cricket Council and USACPL’s next tournament will be played on July 3 in connection with the United States Independence Day celebrations.
