Pakistani American who save child from kidnapping becomes police officer in NYPD

NEWYORK: A Pakistani-American Mahmood Khan, who shown courage and bravery in New York last year and saved a four-year-old child from kidnapping, has graduated and appointed as police officer in the New York Police Department.

Mahmood Khan had saved the four years old boy from kidnapping by Nelson Priester, at the Darul Quran Masjid in Suffolk County, Long Island.

Mahmood Khan’s courage and bravery developed the passion of becoming a police officer.

Mahmood has completed his graduation and has been appointed as a police officer in the New York Police Department.

The ceremony held in this regard began with the American national anthem, after which the new police officers were sworn in.

The new graduates celebrated their joining in the police force. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who attended the ceremony, presented the new recruits with their police officer certificates.

Mahmood Khan’s father, mother, wife and daughters were also present on the occasion.

Mahmood’s mother congratulated her son after becoming a police officer.

Mahmoo’s parent expressed confidence that now their son will fulfill his duty by serving the country, city and the people here.
