ICNA Relief leadership Visits the Islamic Center of San Diego to express solidarity with the San Diego community

SAN DIEGO: Following the tragic incident that took place on May 18 in San Diego, the local Muslim community continues to cope with profound grief and loss.

Since the very first day, ICNA Relief has been on the ground, providing assistance and support to affected families and community members through its relief, social service, and counseling programs.

As part of these ongoing efforts, ICNA Relief CEO Abdul Rauf Khan and COO Aleemuddin visited the Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD), where they met with community leaders, local volunteers, and the San Diego team to assess the ongoing response and support initiatives.

During the visit, the delegation met with Sheikh Taha, Imam of the Islamic Center of San Diego, and extended their heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragedy.

ICNA Relief leadership reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering commitment to standing with the affected families and supporting the community during this difficult time.

ICNA Relief’s counseling team is already actively engaged, providing emotional and mental health support services to ICSD members as the community continues to navigate the aftermath of the tragedy.

The leadership also commended the remarkable resilience, unity, and strength demonstrated by the San Diego Muslim community. Despite the pain and challenges resulting from this heartbreaking incident, the community has remained steadfast, united, and committed to supporting one another.

It is worth noting that ICNA Relief has been serving the San Diego community for many years through a variety of humanitarian and social service programs. The Masjid security guard who was martyred in the incident was also a dedicated participant in ICNA Relief’s charitable initiatives and was known for his commitment to serving those in need.

ICNA Relief prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, patience and strength for their families, and continued safety and well-being for the entire community.

The organization reiterated its commitment to standing beside those affected and providing support for as long as it is needed.

They also prayed May Allah (SWT) grant the martyrs the highest ranks in Jannah, bless their families.
