NEWYORK: Health First and various social organizations organized an event on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, which was attended by the Pakistani American community.
Social organizations including Council of People’s Organization, American Council of Minority Women, Council of Muslim Women, Young Muslims, Iqra Masjid, Muslim American Society, Pakistani Community Center Brooklyn and other social organizations, organized event to celebrate second Eid celebration of Health First in which women, children and the elderly participated in large numbers.
Health First team congratulated the participants on Eid-ul-Adha and expressed their determination to share in the joy with the community.
Health First Manager Mehwish Fatima and Vice President Community Engagement Miguel Centeno, who were among the organizers, said that the aim of this event was to bring the community members together on one platform, celebrate the joys of Eid together and provide awareness about health and social services.
Chairperson of the American Council of Minority Women, Baza Roohi congratulated the Health First team on organizing this successful event.
Other participants in the event also appreciated this effort and assured that they will always remain united and play a their due role in such events.
Stalls were also set up regarding health insurance information, community resources and awareness about various welfare programs, while special arrangements were made for the entertainment of children, in which free distribution of toys was prominent.
Special arrangements were also made for applying Henna at the event, which further enhanced the joy of Eid.
The performance by a balloon artist was also enjoyed by the participants, especially the children. The participants appreciated the excellent arrangements for the event and termed it a positive and memorable initiative for the community.
