NEWYORK: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that no one could have imagined that Rafale jets could be shot down from a JF-17 and all this was possible due to spirit of our brave air fighters.
He was addressing a dinner organized in his honor by American Pakistan Public Affair s Committee in New York.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar was warmly welcomed when he arrived at the residence of American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed in New York.
Prominent figures of the Pakistani American community participated in the ceremony.
Addressing the guests, Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed introduced his organization and highly appreciated Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar’s successful diplomacy, while APPAC President Dr. Pervez Iqbal paid tribute to Pakistan’s national leadership.
Addressing the participants, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar praised the role of APPAC. He said that the Pakistan Army gave a befitting response to India’s cowardly attack last year, which will always be remembered not only by India but also by the entire world in history.

In response to a question regarding the situation in the Middle East, Ishaq Dar clarified that the problem will not be resolved until Palestine is recognized as an independent and sovereign state.
The delegation also included Pakistani Ambassador to United State Rizwan Saeed, Permanent Representative to the United Nations Asim Iftikhar and Consul General Aamir Ahmed Atuzai.
Earlier, APPAC Founding Board Member Asad Chaudhry and Youth Wing’s Arsal Ijaz welcomed the Foreign Minister, saying that Ishaq Dar achieved successes in his very first experience of diplomacy that no one else had.
The meeting also discussed Pakistan’s current internal situation and its growing popularity on the global stage.
Addressing the participants, Pakistani Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and Permanent Representative to UN Asim Iftikhar said that the importance of Pakistanis in the global scenario has increased greatly.
The event was also attended by community members, APPAC members and people associated with Pakistan’s political parties. The speakers said that the way Ishaq Dar presented Pakistan’s case as Foreign Minister in international forums and on every front will not be forgotten.
Later, Chairman APPAC Dr. Ijaz Ahmed expressed his gratitude to Ishaq Dar on his visit to his residence.
