NEWYORK: The soyem of the late Diwan Bilal Khalid, a cousin of New York’s social figure Ghulam Mustafa Diwan, brother of Diwan Hamza Khalid and son-in-law of Moeezullah Diwan, was held at the Baitul Mukarram Masjid in which a large number of community members participated.
The late Diwan Bilal Khalid was known as a prominent personality due to his good manners, compassion and high qualities, who won the hearts of countless people in his life.
A large number of relatives, friends and community members attended the soyem held at the Baitul Mukarram Masjid in New York. The gathering began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which the Quran was recited and prayers were offered for the deceased.
The Imam of the mosque, Mir Hussain Shah, shed light on the life of the deceased, his morals and his social services and advised the participants about patience, gratitude and preparation for the hereafter.

Social figure Ghulam Mustafa Diwan, while sharing his memories with the late Diwan Bilal, told the participants that the fruits of goodness are found both in this world and the hereafter, and the good deeds of the deceased will also become a means of ease for him in the hereafter.
A well-known social figure of the New York community Shahid Raza Ranjha said that not only the local community but also friends and relatives present in Mandi Bahauddin are saddened by the sudden death of Diwan Bilal.
Captain Waheed Akhtar said that we shares the Diwan family’s grief in this hour and prays for the forgiveness of the deceased and the elevation of his ranks.
Special prayers were offered during the soyem for forgiveness of the deceased. Participants prayed Allah Almighty to rest the soul in eternal peace and grant patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Later, the participants expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family, while the family thanked all the participants and appealed to them to continue praying for the forgiveness of the deceased and to continue to offer their prayers for the elevation of his ranks.
