NEWYORK: People in Need, a charitable organization, hosted an Iftar Dinner under the title of Unity Night in Brooklyn which was attended by community members and American officials.
The event was organized at local restaurant on Coney Island Avenue to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the charitable organization People in Need with the aim of serving humanity and promoting mutual unity.
During the event, the host explained the goals and objectives of the organization.
At the Iftar dinner, guests broke their fast together, which was a beautiful example of unity and solidarity.
Addressing the participants, the founders of the organization, Nosheen Ali and Anurag Shrivastava, said that in the last 10 years, People in Need has worked with compassion to support families, alleviate food shortages, provide educational guidance to children, empower women, help victims of domestic violence and share happiness on various occasions.
A documentary on the organization’s services was also screened.
The American officials and other participants, who attended the event, appreciated the organization’s services over the past ten years and reiterated their commitment to help the deserving.
People in Need also gave citations to American officials, volunteers, and students, while American officials also presented certificates of appreciation to the organization’s officials.
Later, the organizers thanked all the guests and expressed the hope that the community will continue to be connected through such programs in the future.
