NEWYORK: American Council of Minority Women, Islamic Relief USA, distributed Ramadan food boxes prior to arrival of holy month of Ramadan.
The American Council of Minority Women, in collaboration with Islamic Relief USA, organized its thirteenth annual ration box distribution ceremony to help low-income families.
ACMW General Secretary Ahmed Latif began the event with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
Ramadan food boxes were distributed not only to Muslims but also to non-Muslim families without discrimination.

ACMW Chairperson Baza Roohi said that the middle and low-income class has been severely affected by the rising inflation in America. She said that we are blessed that God has empowered us among those who distribute, and this year we are distributing 500 Ramadan food boxes.
Medical health camps were also set up during the distribution of food boxes.
Brooklyn Borough Director Edson from the Comptroller’s Office of New York City congratulated the community on the arrival of holy month of Ramadan.

He said that the indiscriminate community services of ACMW and Islamic Relief US are not hidden from anyone. Muslims and especially the Pakistani American community always remember those in need.
The ACMW’s hardworking and dedicated team led by Baza Roohi distributed essential items to hundreds of people and also extended Ramadan greetings to the entire Muslim community. They said ACMW believes in serving humanity without discrimination of color or race.
