NEWYORK: Minhaj Welfare Foundation USA raised more than $700K breaking history in Houston for construction of largest orphan care complex in Pakistan.
The event was part of a series of a fundraising tour across the USA.
The Houston Chapter MQI President Zafar Iqbal Khan thanked the audience for their kind contribution towards the largest orphan care complex in Pakistan.
The event was hosted by Allama Saeed ul Hassan, Hassan Khan and Shabina Zakariya. The event began with recitation of Holy Quran by Hasnain Pirzada.
Operations Director for MWF North America, Syed Najam highlighted the purpose of the event and the objective of MWF in USA.
Imam Mohammad El Faruqi and Allama Afzaal Qadri both inspired the audiences about the significance of supporting orphan and needy in Islam.
MWF USA inaugurated the Mohammed Razi Niazi Humanitarian Award a continuous legacy to recognise the efforts of the late Razi Niazi and his contribution to the community.
The award was presented to Tahir Javed, President of Riceland HealthCare for his philanthropical services.
Tahir Javed spoke about the importance of Orphan children. His son Abraham Javed also appreciated the efforts of MWF.
Global Director MWF, Adnan Sohail carried out the fundraising evening. The audience raised more than $700K in just one evening.
Vice President of Houston chapter Syed Imad Pasha and President MWF USA Maqsood Qadri thanked the audience, volunteers and supporters for their efforts.
The evening ended with MNG (Sufi Music performance from Paris, France). They mesmorised the audience with the beautiful rendition.
Later, Dr Qamar Al-Azhari offered prayers for entire welfare and well-being of Muslim Ummah.
