Dubai government introduces new plan to make passengers journey easier
DUBAI: The Dubai government has introduced a new plan to make international travelers’ journey even easier. According to the plan, passengers will be able to obtain boarding passes from special centers and deposit their luggage before arriving at the airport.
Officials say that the introduction of the check-in facility from the city will not only save passengers valuable time but will also significantly reduce pressure at the airport, which will further improve the overall travel experience.
Under this project, special check-in centers will be established in Dubai in addition to the airport. At these special centers, passengers will be able to obtain boarding passes after checking in. They will deposit their luggage and board the flight upon reaching the airport.
According to officials, the aim of this initiative is to reduce the increasing rush at Dubai International Airport and provide more convenience to passengers.
Dubai International Airport handles an average of more than 250,000 passengers per day, with the number exceeding 300,000 on busy travel days.
Earlier this year, more than 324,000 passengers were recorded in one day, the busiest day in the airport’s history.
According to statistics, Dubai International Airport operates between 2,000 and 2,500 flights per day, while the number of flights per year is between 700,000 and 900,000. With the activities of more than 100 airlines, Dubai Airport has become an important hub for global air connectivity.
