NEWYORK: The Internal Revenue Service has recognized the APNA Community Center in New York as a volunteer income tax assistance in preparing for income tax filing.
Low-income individuals and immigrants can file their taxes for free at the APNA Community Center.
The low-income and immigrant community across New York has received a great convenience in filing income taxes.

After approval from the IRS, the APNA Community Center has started working as a VITA, or volunteer income tax assistance, in preparing for income tax filing.
APNA officially inaugurated this service with the recitation of the Holy Quran at the APNA office located at Beth Avenue.
APNA Community Center Co-Founder and CEO Iram Hanif briefed the participants about the tax filing process and the newly launched facility VITA.

She said that we have a team of experts who are proficient in eight languages and will provide tax filing assistance to low-income individuals without any fee.
The people who came to the inauguration ceremony were informed about the importance and usefulness of filing tax returns.
Iram Hanif further said that it is mandatory for the filers to bring all the necessary documents containing all the required information of the IRS for tax filing. She said that this facility will greatly help the immigrant community in saving their tax credit.

Council member Suzanne and other American officials also attended the ceremony. The speakers appreciated APNA’s community services regardless of race and ethnicity.
They said that in the current situation, immigrants are facing many challenges and problems, in such a situation, this facility is no less than a blessing.
This facility is not only for people living in New York City, but low-income and qualified people from across the state can benefit from it.
