Bangladesh reaffirms resolve to foster close ties with Pakistan
DHAKA: Bangladesh has reaffirmed its resolve to foster close cooperation with Pakistan in parliamentary affairs and other fields.
This commitment was expressed by Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Mohammad Yunus during his meeting with Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Dhaka.
Both sides expressed satisfaction over the improving relations between the two countries.
Ayaz Sadiq underscored the importance of strengthening parliamentary contacts and proposed the establishment of Pakistan-Bangladesh friendship groups in the legislatures of both nations.
Dr Mohammad Yunus said Pakistan should be considered a “second home” and stressed that high-level engagement would further consolidate bilateral ties.
