18th death anniversary of former PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto observed in New York

NEWYORK: The 18th death anniversary of the former prime minister and chairperson of Pakistan People Party Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was observed with devotion and respect in New York.

The Pakistani American community in New York organized a ceremony to mark the 18th death anniversary of the former Chairperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party and the first female Prime Minister of the Islamic world, Benazir Bhutto.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, and Naat Rasool Maqbool (Peace Be Upon Him).

The event was moderated by Syed Zahid Shahbaz Shah, who highlighted Benazir Bhutto’s political struggle, her principles and her services to the people of Pakistan.

The event was attended by people from different walks of life, including community leaders, journalists, business figures and others.

The participants recalled various aspects of Benazir Bhutto’s life and spoke about her courage, sacrifice and the paths opened for women in politics.

PPP leaders and workers expressed their views on Benazir Bhutto’s leadership and her struggle, and reiterated their commitment to continue her mission.

The participants emphasized the importance of Benazir Bhutto’s teachings and her vision for the people, and said that her role will be written in golden letters in the history of Pakistan.

Later, special prayers were offered for the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
