ISLAMABAD: Manager of Pakistan’s Under-19 Cricket Team Sarfraz Ahmed has expressed confidence that the team will continue to deliver strong performances in the upcoming fixtures after winning the Asia Cup title.
Speaking at a press conference alongside the coaching staff and team members in Islamabad, he attributed the team’s success in the U-19 Asia Cup tournament to their collective effort.
He emphasized that by instilling confidence in the players, they were able to rise to the occasion and perform at their best.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s prime minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a cash reward of ten million rupees each for the players of Pakistan’s victorious Under-19 Asia Cup cricket team.
He also hosted a luncheon in honour of the young players in Islamabad today.
In addition, the Prime Minister announced a cash prize of 2.5 million rupees for each member of the team’s management.
He said the team, through its outstanding performance, has won the hearts of the entire nation.
The Prime Minister also commended the team management, Captain Farhan Yousaf, as well as Sameer Minhas, Ali Raza and all members of the contingent for bringing laurels to the country.
