NEWYORK: Minhaj Welfare Foundation USA has announced construction of the largest orphan care complex in Pakistan to support orphans.
A fundraising gala dinner will be held in New York and New Jersey on January 26.
Addressing a press conference in New York, MWF’s Dr. Sohail Muzaffar said that an orphan care complex will be built in Kala Shah Kaku, a town in Sheikhupura, Punjab, for which fundraising has been started for the first time in the United States.
He said that the first fundraising event will be held on January 26 at the Royal Albert Palace in New Jersey and after that, fundraising events will be organized in other cities of the United States.
Maqsood Qadri was also present on the occasion. Replying question about capacity of orphanage, he said that the orphan care complex will have a capacity of 1,000 children, in which five hundred boys and five hundred girls will be accommodated but all arrangements including their accommodation will be separate.
Najam gave details of the project and said that not only has land been purchased for the construction of the orphanage, but construction work has also begun on it. He said that foundation will try to complete this project in two years.
The speakers said that the full participation of the young generation will include in the fundraising gala events.
