NEWYORK: Pakistan has fully supported the initiative taken by Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the establishment and launch of the Group of Friends of Global Governance.
Speaking at the first meeting of the Group of Friends of Global Governance at the United Nations, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said Pakistan commends China’s steadfast commitment to international cooperation and its efforts to reinvigorate multilateral diplomacy.
The Ambassador added the Prime Minister of Pakistan has described it as a historic step toward strengthening the multilateral system to better address the contemporary challenges of peace and development facing humanity.
