PAC organizes a food pantry for low income families

NEWYORK: The closure of food stamps after the federal government shutdown in the United States has increased the hardships of the low-income class people. The Pakistani American Community of the USA has stepped up to help the affected people and started a food pantry.

Pakistani American Community of the US organized a food pantry in the Uniondale area of ​​Hempstead, New York.

A large number of low income families, facing financial problems, came to benefit from the food pantry. The PAC USA team distributed basic necessities of life without discrimination of color or race.

Community leader Humayun Shabbir clarified that the aim of our organization is to remove the problems of the people, and we want everyone to serve the humanity.

Special care was taken to ensure discipline and self-respect of the persons in the distribution of goods.

Secretary General of PAC USA Asim Malik said that they are providing ready-made meals along with essential items for daily use.

Senior Vice President of the organization Salman Sheikh and Vice President Madiha Mustafa were also present.

They said that our food pantry is for every needy person and every wealthy person should help families facing difficulties in this difficult time.

The participants reiterated their commitment to promote such welfare activities.

American official Kate Murray, Nassau County Asian American Affairs Executive Director Aun Naqvi and other dignitaries were also present at the Pakistan American Community of USA food pantry.

Later, Kate Murray presented a certificate of appreciation to the Pakistan American Community of USA.
