South Asian pharmacists announce to support NYC mayor candidate Zohran Mamdani

NEWYORK: South Asian pharmacists announced to support New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. Pharmacists said they will play every possible role in getting Zohran Mamdani elected mayor.

The event was held at pharmacist Mohammad Ashraf’s Staten Island residence in support of New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, which was also attended by South Asian pharmacists and New York City Comptroller Brad Lander.

Addressing the participants, pharmacist Mohammad Ashraf said that we are continuously holding meetings and are in contact with other communities in support of Zohran Mamdani. We will stand with Zohran Mamdani until he succeeds.

Khawaja Khatib expressed his gratitude to Mohammad Ashraf. He said that pharmacists are very important in the health sector. It is the popularity of Zohran Mamdani that has brought all pharmacists together in one place.

The pharmacists discussed the current situation in New York City and discussed the full support of Zohran Mamdani in his election campaign and other issues.

Addressing the audience, Salman Riaz said that our support and campaign for Zohran Mamdani is voluntary, while Jabeen Ahmed said that Zohran Mamdani is a candidate from New York City, but pharmacists from New Jersey are also with him.

A Mehfil-e-Sama was also organized at the event, in which famous Qawwal Mohammad Ali Santo and his colleagues presented various Sufi poetry.

Later, the pharmacist community posed for photos with each other and expressed their determination to continue supporting Zahran Mamdani for his success.
