NEWYORK: Friends of Indus Hospital New York’s chapter organized a fundraising gala dinner, which was attended by a large number of community members, including renowned Pakistani actors Noman Ijaz and Bushra Ansari.
The Pakistani community once again proved that when it comes to humanity and service, borders have no meaning.
A fundraising gala dinner was organized by the Friends of Indus Hospital New York Chapter at the Marquee in Broadway Hicksville, where not only community representatives participated in large numbers, but also renowned Pakistani artists Bushra Ansari and Noman Ijaz graced the gathering with their presence.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The event was moderated by renowned literary personality Jamal Mohsin.
The organizers of the event were Naheed Bhatti, Samina Haider, Badar Bhatti, Burhan Haider, Dr. Zeeshan Khan, Dr. Madnia Sheikh and Dr. Faiq Hamidi.
A member of the Friends of Indus Hospital America Junaid Zuberi shared the details of the fundraiser and said that we raise funds for Indus Hospital in different cities so that people in Pakistan can get free treatment without discrimination.
He also presented an impressive video based on the performance of Indus Hospital and Health Network.
The participants were informed that this institution runs entirely on donations and provides free treatment to 6 million patients annually, which has been possible only with the support of the community.
Famous actress Bushra Ansari and actor Noman Ejaz expressed their views and said that the services of Indus Hospital are a source of pride for Pakistan.
Bushra Ansari said that this is not just a hospital but a mission to serve humanity. We all should be a part of this charity work.
Noman Ejaz said in his address that institutions like Indus Hospital are the real face of Pakistan, where everyone is treated free of charge regardless of color, race, or status, which is why you all stand with them with this love.
The community expressed great enthusiasm at the event, and the participants of the event donated generously.
Some of the participants announced individually, while many families collectively announced large sums of donations for the hospital projects. During the event, Bushra Ansari and Noman Ejaz also entertained the participants with their comedy and jokes.
Later, the participants pledged to continue playing their role to promote the mission of Indus Hospital. This fundraising gala not only proved to be a means of collecting donations but also made the community realize once again that big dreams become reality only through collective efforts.
