President Zardari condemns Israeli aggression against Sumud Gaza Flotilla
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against the Sumud Gaza Flotilla.
In a statement, he commended the bravery and humanitarian spirit of the Pakistani citizens who participated in the flotilla.
The President said the attack on a humanitarian mission is a grave violation of human rights and international law.
He called on the international community to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of aid to the people of Gaza.
Asif Ali Zardari expressed his best wishes for the safety and swift return of the Pakistani participants aboard the flotilla.
He reiterated that Pakistan will always stand with the oppressed people of Palestine.
Meanwhile, Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the dignified participation of Pakistani citizens in the “Sumud Gaza Flotilla”.
In a statement on X, he acknowledged the contributions of Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Mazhar Saeed Shah, Wahaj Ahmed, Dr. Osama Riaz Sahib, Ismail Khan, Syed Aziz Nizami, and Fahad Ishtiaq, who took part in this significant humanitarian relief mission.
The Prime Minister said this initiative reflects the peaceful aspirations of the Pakistani people, their commitment to justice, and their enduring spirit of compassion for those in need.
He reaffirmed his government’s support for the principles of respect for human life, safe passage, and the unimpeded delivery of aid.
Shehbaz Sharif further emphasized that the government of Pakistan strongly demands the safe and dignified return of its citizens, and continues to pray and work tirelessly for their well-being and early repatriation.
