Chi-Care hosts 2nd annual Chicago 5K walk for the homeless people

CHICAGO: Chi-Care, a non-profit organization, offered a distinctive method for assisting those without housing. Chi-Care connects with individuals at their current situation.

Their method of serving individuals experiencing homelessness includes this important distinction. Equipped with shelves and room for volunteers, their trucks are used to deliver more than 1000 meals weekly to individuals experiencing food insecurity.

Several persons took part in Chi Care Mission’s 5K by running (or walking) around Montrose Harbor for a good cause. The event raises funds for programs, shelters, meals, and long-term recovery services for over 75,000 people experiencing homelessness in Chicago.

A spokeperson of Chi Care Faraz Sardaria said that across Chicago during covid time we learn how to give back to their communities as well as how this bolsters their missions and cultures, and garner their advice for leaders at other companies who are eager to implement outreach initiatives.

The founder of Chi Care Farhan Ahmed said that he started this organization during the COVID-19 time when people were having a very hard time getting food, especially homeless people.

He said that they started this organization with only a few people and they now they have over hundred team members including volunteers.

He said that our purpose and mission is that no one left behind without food.

The walk 5K goal was to raise money for providing meals for homeless people by support of Chi-Care.

Chi-Care gives homeless people in Chicagoland access to clean water, hot meals, basic necessities, and a renewed feeling of self-worth.Chi-Care, formed during the COVID-19 outbreak, distributes crucial resources like warm meals and clean water directly to homeless encampments in Chicagoland and surrounding areas.

Their goal at Chi-Care is to reach as many people in need as they can by growing their services. In order to distribute more food, more days a week, and more conveniently for Chi Care volunteers and the people we serve, they are constantly expanding our fleet of trucks.

Chicago’s Mayor Chief of staff Ms Cristina Pacione-Zayas attended the opening ceremony. An american anthem was performed by local sports celebrity. Chi-Care 5K Run/Walk sponsored by Arya consulting company.

Mayor of Chicago Brandon Johnson send the warm message to the Chi Care team.

He said in the message that Chicago has about over 70,000 people experiencing homelessness even while the city dedicates $77 million in direct funding to address the issue. He said that Chi Care was doing fantastic job to help homeless peoples.

Later, Farhan Ahmed thanked all the participants, sponsors and volunteers who made the event successful and said that our plan is to develop a shelter home for homeless people and provide to them five star services.
