NEWYORK: APNA Bazaar has been inaugurated at Coney Island Avenue in New York. This market has 24-hours shopping facilities and soon Halal meat will be available at the market.
The South Asian community has flocked to the APNA Bazaar Farmers Market situated at the intersection of Coney Island Avenue and Avenue I in Brooklyn on its grand opening.
This market will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from where the community will be able to buy all the food items at reasonable and discounted prices and soon Halal slaughtered meat will also be available.
APNA Bazaar owner Jaswinder Singh and others said that there should be no compromise on hard work and honesty for success of any business.
At the inauguration, the guests were warmly welcomed and presented with bouquets.
Muslim Liaison Officer Atiya Shahnaz and Senior Advisor to the Nassau County Executive Chaudhry Akram were also present on the occasion.
They said that the South Asian community will no longer have to travel far for shopping and small businesses should be supported as it also provides employment opportunities.
Assemblymember Roadneyse Bichotte also participated in the inauguration ceremony and expressed hope that APNA Bazaar will maintain its standards.
Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis and other community members also shopped profusely on the opening day of APNA Bazaar. Free food was also arranged for the buyers and guests on this occasion.
