Pakistan-India war will be inevitable in next six years if water issue is not resolved, warns Pakistan’s diplomatic delegation member

NEWYORK: Member of the diplomatic delegation and central leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N Khurram Dastgir has warned that war between Pakistan and India could break out within six years if immediate and effective pressure is not exerted by the US and the international community on the water issue.

He also expressed his fear of India bringing the region to the brink of nuclear war.

Speaking to media representatives at the Pakistan Mission in New York, diplomatic delegation member Khurram Dastgir described the water issue as very serious.

He said that war may become inevitable in the next 6 years due to India’s war madness if American and international does not exert pressure on India.

Khurram Dastgir warned that every new tension created by India is pushing the region towards nuclear war. He made it clear that Pakistan does not want  any escalation and there is no possibility of a conflict, but India’s actions are extremely dangerous.

Khurram Dastgir said that Indian leaders are afraid of going to the United Nations and discussing the pending Kashmir resolutions in the Security Council.

He said that India is also backing out from the tweets of President Trump and the Foreign Secretary in Washington, but we will continue to pursue them. Khurram Dastgir described President Trump’s recent statements as very important, in which Trump used the word mediation for Kashmir.

He said that a Pakistani delegation will meet senior officials of the Trump administration in Washington for the next three days. The main purpose of these meetings will be to clarify and advocate that immediate and practical steps be taken on the statements of President Trump and senior officials of his administration.

He warned that if this is not done, India’s war madness will very soon take the region to the brink of war again.
