
NEWYORK: APNA community center in New York organized a community health and resource fair, where various medical tests, including blood pressure, were conducted without any fees for the participants.
APNA community center, together with its various partners, organized a community health and resource fair at the Brighton, Brooklyn.
Various departments of the New York City government, elected members of Congress, assembly members, various institutions working in the health sector, and community representative organizations, among others, set up their stalls at the health and resource fair.
The event was hosted by APNA community center CEO Iram Hanif.
Addressing participants, she said that we want the community to be fully informed about their rights in every field.
The event was attended by a large number of young people, men and women, as well as the elder persons.
Free blood pressure and other tests were also conducted for the participants who not only benefited from medical facilities but also received useful advices.
Iram Hanif appreciated the services of the new members of the APNA team, volunteers and sponsors. She said that useful information is available at every stalls and participants should take advantage of this resource fair.
APNA community center Chairman Parvez Siddiqui expressed his gratitude to the participants, sponsors and participating institutions and community organizations for public awareness.
More than 26 institutions supported the community health and resource. APNA community center said they will continue to organize such programs in the future.
