NEWYORK: A prayer ceremony was held to remember father of ARY America’s Chief Operating Officer and senior journalist Asif Jamal, who passed away in Karachi last month.
A large number of Pakistani community members from New York, journalists, social and business figures, and close friends attended the ceremony.
Religious scholar addressed the participants on the subject of religious education and a lecture was also given, enlightening the participants about the reality of death.
The participants offered prayers for the departed soul and prayed for his forgiveness and elevation to the highest ranks. The participants in the ceremony expressed their condolences to Asif Jamal and his family and appreciated his father’s religious and moral services.
Asif Jamal thanked all his friends, the journalist community, and community members who supported him in his hour of grief and joined in the prayer for the departed soul of his father.
