Dil Dil Pakistan panel wins PAGH elections

HOUSTON: The Dil Dil Pakistan panel has won the elections for the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston, the oldest community organization of Pakistani Americans.

Presidential candidate Siraj Narsi has been elected as the new president of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston, while Aamir Zaidi has been elected as the general secretary.

According to the election results of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston, presidential candidate Siraj Narsi was elected as the new president of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston with 908 votes, while Aamir Zaidi was elected as the general secretary with 919 votes.

According to the results provided by the Chairman Election Committee Rashid Khokhar, Asim Raza was declared successful for the post of Chairperson of the Education Committee with 850 votes, while Khurram Zai was declared successful for the post of Chairperson of the Information Committee with 980 votes.

The turnout of the voters was badly affected due to rain and total of 1299 voters exercised their right to vote.

Speaking to the media after winning the elections by a clear margin, newly elected President Siraj Narsi said that our top priority is to elevate the name and prestige of Pakistan from the platform of the association and focus on solving the problems of the Pakistani American community.

After the announcement of the election results, supporters of the successful candidates celebrated outside the Pakistan Center Houston, congratulated each other on their success, and distributed sweets.
