Biden administration supported 11 million small business across the country after Covid-19, US deputy administrator of SBA

NEWYORK: The first Pakistani-origin Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration of the US government Dilawar Syed said that the federal government want to support small businesses and it supported 11 million small businesses across the country to recover after the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to Voice of South Asia, New York city’s department of small business services organized a meeting with Pakistani community businessmen at Coney Island Avenue.

The first Pakistani-origin Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration in the Biden administration Dilawar Syed specially attended the meeting.

He said that New York city has a very key role in the country’s economy and the Biden administration not only invested 140 billion dollars in the private sector of New York alone but around 1 million small businesses across the state were started.

Dilawar Syed further said that the federal government has decided to help small business people in every possible way and it is our responsibility to facilitate the communication between small business owners and government departments.

Commissioner of Small Business Services Dynishal Gross, Head of Council of People Organization Mohammad Rizvi, Chairman American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, Pervez Siddique, President American Pakistani Advocacy Group Ali Rashid, American Council of Minority Women Chairperson Baza Ruhi, Accountant Taj Akbar, Social Worker Zakaria Khan and others also attended the meeting.

Commissioner Dynishal Gross said that the mayor’s administration provided $36 million relief in terms of fees and fines to small business owners.

Various suggestions and recommendations were exchanges in the meeting with regard to grant of loans to small business owners and new businesses start up.

On this occasion, COPO chief Mohammad Rizvi said that today’s meeting will be very helpful in providing better opportunities to the entrepreneurs of the Pakistani community.
