Senator Booker hail sacrifices of ancestors in America
Nick Saleem, co-host Qasim Husain and Dr. Johal warmly welcomed Senator Cory Booker at Meet & Greet
NEW JERSEY: The first African-American Senator from New Jersey Cory Booker said that the position we are all holding today is the result of the sacrifices of our ancestors.
He was addressing to the Meet and Greet organized by South Asian Community at the residence of Nick Saleem, a businessman and well-known social personality of the Pakistani community in New Jersey.
Nick Saleem and his co-host Qasim Husain and Dr. Johal warmly welcomed Senator Cory Booker and other guests.
The Meet and Greet was attended by a large number of South Asian community members including professionals and experts of different fields.
The first Pakistani-American Mayor Fozia Janjua who is elected from the Town of Mount Laurel, New Jersey was also present at occasion.
Nick Saleem, the host of the event, introduced the Chief guest Cory Booker and the participants to each other.
Addressing audience, Senator Cory Booker said that all of his voters knew his style of politics as he is principled based politician. He said that we have to remember the traditions and history made by our ancestors.
He said that the South Asian community has always supported him and he will remain indebted to their love and support.
Senator Cory Booker was also impressed by the hospitality and met with the participants of Meet and Greet.
Senator Cory Booker was also briefed about the medical activities by a non-profit organization working in the health sector in New Jersey. Host of the event Nick Saleem thanked all his guests for their arrival.
