NEW JERSEY: Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America New Jersey chapter organized its annual picnic at the Princeton country club which was attended by APPNA members along with their families.
A cricket match was also played between New Jersey North and New Jersey South which was won by New Jersey South team. New Jersey South captain Kamran Khan dedicated the win of the team to the community. New Jersey North team captain Dr. Zubair appreciated the efforts of APPNA New Jersey President Dr. Irfana Khan.
Stalls of various books and other traditional costumes were set up at the country club while participants also enjoyed the barbeque. A kite flying competition was also held during which the sky decorated with colorful kites.
APPNA New Jersey President Dr. Irfana Khan said that our community is united and ready to help our countrymen at all times. On this occasion, other sports events including 100 meter race, soccer were held which was participated by the participants including children. Meanwhile, the tug-of-war between the teams of New Jersey North and New Jersey South was also very interesting.
At the end of event, medals and trophies were awarded to the winning teams and players and runner up. Dr. Owais Masood was declared the man of the match for scoring 50 runs.
