NEWYORK: New life minority human rights council with collaboration of Shahid Afridi foundation USA organized back to school program in Brooklyn in which children were provided school stationary and toys.
The event was organized to provide necessary school stationary to children on start of their academic journey.
The program was attended by a large number of children and parents, where the children were distributed stationery like notebooks, pencils, pens, and other essential educational items as well as toys.
Speaking to Voice of South Asia, New life minority human rights council chairperson Raheela Aslam said that our aim is to attract children to education and make their educational journey easier. She said that with the support of Shahid Afridi foundation USA we want to ensure that no child is left behind due to lack of educational needs.
Social leader and NLMHRC member Dr. Salma Kausar who participated in the event, also expressed her opinion and said that we are serving the community by organizing such programs.
She said that education is the right of every child and we want every child to take full advantage of educational opportunities.
On this occasion, Chacha Cricket, who came from Pakistan to America, said that many Pakistanis living in America are doing good work and children are happy here today.
Chacha Cricket also recited a poem for the children on the occasion.
Parents also appreciated the back to school program and said that it will not only motivate the children but also help the parents with regard to children education expenses.
This back-to-school program created a positive atmosphere in Brooklyn’s Pakistani community and reassured parents that their children’s educational needs were being taken care of. These initiatives help in developing a sense of solidarity and cooperation in the community.
