NEWYORK: The Pakistan Day Parade scheduled for August 18 in connection with Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations in New Jersey has been postponed due to forecast of a possible storm.
According to the parade management representatives, the parade will now be held on Sunday, September 1, at Oak Tree Road, Middlesex Avenue.
They said that parade administration has made extensive arrangements for the Pakistan Day parade. They said that participants will be served breakfast.
Folk singers Ustad Rafaqat Ali Khan, Nadeem Abbas Loonewala, Afifa Butt and other singers will perform at the parade. Colorful floats, Desi bazaar and other stalls will also be set up. They said that management of the parade can be contacted for sponsorship, booking of booths or stalls and any other relevant information.
