NEWYORK: Pakistan Muslim League (N) celebrated 77 th Independence Day of Pakistan at PML House at Coney Island Brooklyn.
A large number of Pakistani American community participated in the celebration of independence day, including men and women. PML(N) leader recited Holy Quran to start the Independence Day celebration. The national anthem of Pakistan was also sung on this occasion.
Addressing the participants, Pakistan Muslim League-N USA President Rohail Dar and senior vice President Mian Fayyaz congratulated all the guests on Independence Day. They said that country suffered a lot of loss due to undemocratic forces interventions in judiciary and the parliament. He said that everyone has to work together to take the country on the path of development apart from their political differences.
On this occasion, senior PML(N) leader Raja Razzak said that Pakistan has witnessed many difficult times since its establishment always moved forward. He expressed hope that country will move forward from present crises under the leadership of PML(N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif.
PML(N) leaders and activists also expressed their views. The speakers said that if no-confidence motion was not brought against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government two years ago, the conditions of the country would have worsened today. They said that Pakistan always progressed in the tenure of Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Later, PML(N) leaders and participants of the event cut the Pakistan Independence Day cake together. The participants also reiterated their commitment that they will continue to play their best role for the development of the country.
