NEWYORK: The New York Police Department has created an e-commerce exchange zone at each police station to prevent crimes through online fraud. Citizens will now be able to buy and sell online through this facility in a secure manner.
New York police found a solution to protect citizens from e-commerce fraud. E-commerce exchange zones have been established at all police stations across the city. Now it will not be easy for any fraudster to harm the life and property of citizens in the name of online buying and selling.
NYPD’s community affairs bureau Detective Haris Hameed said that any citizen can come to his or her respective police station after settlement of online transactions and inform the police officer about description of online transections of buying or selling and police will secure this transections from any online fraud.
The New York Police Department had started E-Commerce exchange zone as pilot project in response to growing complaints of online shopping fraud in New York and now this facility has been launched at each police station of the New York. After establishment of E-commerce exchange zone there has been a significant reduction in the complaints of online fraud from citizens.
