NEWYORK: President of New York Muslim Officers Society Inspector Adeel Rana has said that there were numerous opportunities in the New York Police Department NYPD for better future of young people.
He was speaking at a career counseling program organized by Brooklyn Emerge at the Peace Academy.
The career counseling and readiness program for enhancing the professional guidance of students for their better future was held at Peace Academy, a religious and contemporary studies center located on Coney Island Avenue under the auspices of Brooklyn Emerge.
A large number of Muslim children from different communities studying in the Peace Academy participated in the program.
President of Muslim Officers Society of New York Police Department Inspector Adeel Rana was invited for career counseling.
Sahibzadah Shabbir of Brooklyn Emerge highlighted the journey of Adeel Rana from joining the police force to the position of Inspector.
Inspector Adeel Rana told the participants that the youth can choose different departments of the city government for their employment but the New York Police Department is a department that provides opportunities to students in their student life as well. The young students heard the guidance with keen interest and attention.
Peace Academy’s Zakaria Khan said that career is definitely a part of life but not life and urged students to choose a profession that includes service to humanity.
In the awareness session, students asked Inspector Adeel Rana various questions about joining the police force. Inspector Adeel Rana said that NYPD can be joined by the students during college education.
The students expressed their determination that they will not only improve their future but also do something for their community. On this occasion, Inspector Adeel Rana distributed bags and other items to the children on behalf of NYPD and Muslim Officers Society.
Brooklyn Emerge, the team of Peace Academy and the students also cut the cake in celebration of Adeel Rana’s promotion to the rank of Inspector.
