NEW YORK: Madrasah Darul Uloom Brooklyn of Masjid Al-Murjan in New York has achieved a prestigious position in providing religious and contemporary education. Children from low income families who cannot afford the tuition fees are educated at Madrasah Darul Uloom with the support of philanthropists.
Darul Uloom Brooklyn, managed by Masjid Al-Marjan in Brooklyn, teaches students not only religion but also modern sciences so that future architects can cope with modern requirements.
The management of Madrasah Darul Uloom hosted Iftar for the students and their families. The students recited the Holy Quran and mesmerized the participants.
This seminary was established about 4 years ago and more than 70 students were currently studying.
Addressing participants, administrator of seminary Qari Osama said that no person can progress in any field without education and it is our desire that no child deprive from education because of financial restraints.
“We are proud that many parents are helping to bear the expenses of the children of low-income families who cannot afford the education expenses,” he said adding that not only boys but also girls were getting education and a separate section is reserved for them.
He said that students are being taught mathematics, science, English and other subjects along with religious studies.
The parents of the students said that the children have been studying here for four to five years which are remarkable and facility of learning Quran is the best.The Maghrib Azaan was called and participants of the event did Iftar and offered prayers.
Administrator of Darul Uloom Brooklyn Qari Osama said that education is the basic right of every child. He urged the philanthropists to come forward and contribute towards the expenses of the seminary so that parents who cannot afford the tuition fees due to financial constraints can also equip their children with the jewel of education.
