NEWYORK: (Special Correspondent) Another honor for the Pakistani community in the USA. A Pakistani-American deputy inspector and commanding officer Adeel Rana posted in the New York Police Department (NYPD), has once again made history.
NYPD has promoted Adeel Rana from post of Deputy Inspector to Inspector while another officer Misbah Noor has been promoted from Captain to Deputy Inspector.
Adeel Rana is the first Pakistani-American appointed in the NYPD to be promoted to the rank of Inspector.
There is a long list of promotions for police officers and personnel.
A special ceremony will be officially held on Thursday, April 4, at the Police Academy in Queens, New York, in which the promoted officers will be conferred new ranks.
It is pertinent to mention that Police Inspector Adeel Rana belongs to the Faisalabad city of Punjab province of Pakistan. He is also the president of the New York Police Muslim Officers Society (MOS).
