NEW YORK: Pakistan People Party USA organized a ceremony to celebrate the historic decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the case of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari’s win for becoming the President of Pakistan for the second time.
The ceremony was organized at a local hotel in Brooklyn, New York. The ceremony was started with recitation of Holy Quran and later Naat Rasool Maqbool in the honour of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him was recited. The ceremony was attended by several distinguished personalities of the community including Pakistan People Party and Pakistan Muslim League (N) leadership.
Addressing participants PPP USA President Khalid Awan said that Asif Ali Zardari’s win in the presidential election was very important for the stability of the country.
President of PML-N USA Rohail Dar said that party welcomes the decision of the Supreme Court in Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s reference but it would be appropriate for the cause of justice that role of those characters who committed injustice should be identified.
PML(N) USA senior vice President Mian Fayyaz said that the success of Pakistan lies in the fact that everyone should works together in agreement. Other participants in the ceremony said that prayers of the community are with Asif Ali Zardari and at the same time the judiciary of Pakistan deserves to be congratulated for delivering such historic decision in Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s presidential reference.
