NEW YORK: The American Council of Minority Women distributed Ramadan food boxes to people with the support of Islamic Relief.
American officials, who were also participating the event, appreciated the initiative of ACMW.
The ACMW was engaged in the service of humanity and every year on the occasion of Ramadan, ACMW in collaboration with Islamic Relief distributed Ramadan food boxes to the people.
Consul General of Pakistan Amir Ahmed Atuzai, who also participated in the ceremony, said that ACMW and Islamic Relief USA was doing a wonderful job which should be appreciated.
Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez was also present on this occasion who appreciated the effort of ACMW and presented a citation to Baza Ruhi. The US officials also distributed food boxes to people. The participants of the event congratulated people on the eve of Ramadan and called the distribution of food boxes a good move. They also expressed regret for the ongoing war in Gaza and atrocities on Muslims.
American officials said that Baza Ruhi is Coney Island Avenue’s pride. A representative of Islamic Relief participating in the program said, “Today at Islamic Relief, our mission is to improve lives around the world and we could not have done any of this without your support.”
ACMW’s chairperson Baza Ruhi said that more American officials were working in this effort than us, which is proof that everyone is united here on the holy festival of Muslims. The team of Baza Rohi later distributed essential items to hundreds of people and also extended Ramadan greetings to the entire Muslim Ummah.
