New York : New Life Minority Human Rights Council (NLMHRC) in New York organized an event on the occasion of Women’s Day. Consul General Amir Ahmed Attozai was the special guest of the event.
The program organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day at the office of the Rights Council began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him.
Addressing on the occasion, Consul General Aamir Ahmad Atuzai said that all women of the world deserve respect without discrimination of color, race and religion, and we should give them the same respect that we give to our mothers, sisters and daughters.
President of NLMHRC Rahila Aslam said that she desired that all Pakistani women are empowered and our organization is focusing on this agenda.
Dr. Salma Kausar said that we should be proud that we are the followers of Muslim Ummah in which women were designated all the rights that no one had given before.
The ceremony was attended by women from different walks of life, including American officials. The participants were of the view that all women are equal all over the world, and there should be no discrimination between them. At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest also distributed robes and certificates among the participants.
