Fouzia Janjua of Pakistani origin has created a new history by being elected the first Muslim mayor of Mount Laurel.

The Pakistani American community has congratulated Fouzia Janjua on her election and expressed their sincere wishes and prayers for her success.

The population of Mount Laurel Township consists of more than 43 thousand people and this town is considered one of the historical and best towns in the state of New Jersey.

Fouzia Janjua says that being elected mayor is a great honor for her.

She said that she will play her best role for the welfare and development of the people of the township.
